The EIC will be a critical part of delivering the precinct vision. It forms the strategic and geographic centre piece of Lot Fourteen, connecting the precinct’s various commercial, educational, cultural, heritage and tourism elements.
Home to a variety of tenants in the defence, technology, cyber security, education and related co-working and professional services sectors, it brings business, research and government together in the one location to cross pollinate and accelerate the development of new technologies, products and services.
A critical measure of success of the EIC will be the commercial outcomes that it generates. Innovation alone is not an end goal in itself – the innovations need to be converted into commercial outcomes if they are to be of benefit to the state’s economy.
